3:15-3:45 Drafting exercise: in breakout rooms and led by grad students, draft an email related to application: asking for letter of rec, asking for comments on writing sample, asking if someone’s taking new students, etc.

4:00-5:00 Faculty panel: what we look for in admission. With Sean Walsh (UCLA), Hannah Rubin (Notre Dame), Casey Perin (UCI)

Day 2 – what it’s like
